What does "x" shift means?

A shift = AM shift (9 hours)
P shift = PM shift (9 hours)
T(Q) shift = Three-quarter shift (13 hrs out of 18 hrs)
E shift = Extended shift (T shift with a lunch break in-between)
S shift = Split shift
N shift = Night shift

SBST:

A shift = start of operation to ard 1500hrs
P shift = ard 1500hrs to end of operation
S shift = Split shift(sumtimes SWING from 0900-1200, sumtimes 1200-1500, it all depends)Normally found on weekday
T shift = Day Shift(ard 0700-1900)Normally found on weekday, so for e.g., 997 does S Shift on Weekdays and does T shift on Saturdays
E Shift = Split shift(Extended, like Day shift)Acts like student bus
N Shift = Night shift(Found on Nite Owl/NR/409)

AM Shift = same as SBST A shift
PM Shift = same as SBST P shift

So that means T shift don't have lunch breaks? Does it have Tea breaks otherwise, they would have nothing to eat from morning till night! Shocked

yes. E shift's break lasts about 2 hours, whereas T shift will have a lunch break of under 30 mins and a tea break of under 15 mins.

if i remember correctly
break - less then 20min
meal - more then 20min
tea - a slightly longer break time for T shift
swing - is a break for split shift buses(E/S), drives bus to depot and can do anything they want(am i right? they can go home right?)

(btw, sum feeder svc tat run continuously during peak hours b4 they get a break, sum trips actually had a min or 2 "break" b4 doing the next trip.

tea break wun exceed 20mins, one e.g. is 13mins.

break wun exceed 15 mins bah.

swing, yes, they can go home, but sometimes depends on whether they stay close to depot or not. Smile

Oh, ok, understand T shift now.

Oh, and 179's 9024Z (7P) has a break from 1928 to 1945 (17min), whereas 9140X (18S) has a tea break of only 10min! 1926 - 1936

A/P Shift comes with Meal and normal Breaks (rare cases has Tea Breaks)
S Shift comes with Tea and and normal Breaks (some cases have Meal)
E Shift comes with Meal and normal Breaks (rare cases has Tea Breaks)
T shift comes with Tea, Meal and normal Breaks.

Normal Breaks lasts up to 19min for a A/P Shift
Normal Breaks lasts up to 10min for S/T shift
Meal breaks begins from 20/21min for any shift
Tea breaks begins from 10-19min for S/E/T Shift

A/P Shift with Tea breaks last 20min exactly (or 20min or more but shorter than the Meal break)

No break will be indicated if the break time is 4min or less

Change shift break lasts from 2min onwards.
